Pascal M. Nardelli began his real estate career in August 1970 on the brokerage side of the business with John Peck Real Estate upon graduating from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Philosophy in August of 1970. Mr. Nardelli was involved in every facet of the real estate brokerage business including single-family and multi-family residential, commercial office and retail, and industrial through 1974.

Mr. Nardelli spent the next 16 months on the corporate side of the real estate business as the Real Estate Director for Cinemette Corporation of America, a 139-screen movie theater chain based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with locations in seven states.

Mr. Nardelli then joined the development company of FRA Associates where he served as the Director of Acquisition and Leasing from June of 1976 to 1980. During his time at FRA Associates, he developed and/or acquired over two million square feet of commercial retail centers.

Subsequently, Mr. Nardelli left FRA Associates and joined another developer to form Champ Development Corporation. In 1984 he formed, as its sole stockholder, Terra Enterprises, Incorporated which over the next seven years developed, acquired, and managed 4.5 million square feet of commercial real estate through 1991. Some of the more notable developments include the following:

  • Acquisition and renovation of the Natrona Heights Shopping Center (376,000 sq. ft.)
  • Development of Century Square in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania (420,000 sq. ft)
  • Acquisition, renovation, and expansion of the Regional Shopping Center, Clinton Township, Michigan (436,000 sq. ft.)
  • Numerous K-Mart developments
  • Center Medical Commons (75,000 sq. ft. medical office)
  • Acquisition of the 575,000 sq. ft. USX Research Center in Monroeville, Pennsylvania

In 1991, Mr. Nardelli joint ventured with JRA Development to develop Kmart projects, most notably the only two Super K-Marts in the Pittsburgh area, which opened in 1994.

In 1995 Nardelli joint ventured the development of a 250,000 square foot power center called Cranberry Square in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. Tenants included Barnes & Noble, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Toys 'R Us, Office Max, Home Place, Michael’s Crafts and Pier One, among others.

Following the completion of Cranberry Square in late 1998, Mr. Nardelli formed Castlebrook Development with Bill West for the purpose of development and construction of commercial real estate projects.

Project Director

Dave first joined the Castlebrook team as an intern in the summer of 2005. He started working full time upon graduating with a Bachelor of Science from Miami University with a concentration in Leadership Management and Entrepreneurship in May 2006. In his 9 plus year career in the real estate development world, Dave has had leadership roles in many different areas. He has performed the tasks of a project manager, property manager, retail leasing, project conceptualization, pre-construction coordination, raised capital, secured financing, etc.

Growing up the son and nephew of talented carpenters, Dave has always had an interest in the built environment. This had also taught him the intricacies of building and the knowledge that there is always more than one possible solution. This insight into the micro level on real estate combined with the skills he has learned through his college education and on-the-job training have molded Dave into a well-rounded developer.

Dave is a member of NAIOP, the Green Building Alliance and dedicates much of his time to help the causes of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. In his free time he enjoys watching the Pirates, participating in any physical activity, and taking long bike rides through the lush green hills of western Pennsylvania while the morning dew is lifting off the forest floor.

Development Coordinator

Shaina Kelly joined the Castlebrook team in September of 2015 as their Real Estate Development Coordinator working closely with the Project Director in the implementation of mission-driven, community based real estate development strategy which includes substantial rehabilitation, urban revitalization, new construction, and assembly of land for future development for small and large scale commercial and mixed use properties.

Shaina began her real estate career after completing undergraduate studies in Erie, Pennsylvania working for the residential closing company, Sunrise Closing Services. Being a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Shaina moved back in 2012 to pursue employment within the Oil and Gas industry. After experiencing the natural rise and decline of the energy sector, Shaina came to Castlebrook to further build upon her real estate experience in a new area of commercial development.

In her free time, Shaina enjoys visiting family in North Carolina, spending summers on the water boating the local rivers of Pittsburgh and winters out on the ski slopes of southwestern Pennsylvania.
